Blackrock Raised Bed & Greenhouse Project — Growing Space Done Right

The Problem

A keen gardener in Blackrock, County Louth wanted to create a dedicated growing area in their garden. The space they had in mind was uneven, overgrown, and not set up for any kind of productive gardening. They wanted raised beds for vegetables and flowers, plus a greenhouse to extend the growing season — but it all needed to be built from scratch on difficult ground.

What We Did

Seamus and Pete started by clearing and levelling the site. This was a big project that required careful planning. The ground was prepared and levelled properly, and then the raised beds were constructed using quality materials, positioned to make the best use of the available sunlight. The beds were filled with a rich mix of topsoil and compost to give plants the best possible start.

The greenhouse was assembled on a solid, level base, with proper access paths laid between the beds so everything was easy to reach. Paving was laid to create clean walkways and a tidy overall finish. Every element was thought through — from drainage to access to the positioning of each bed.

The Result

The finished project was a gardener’s dream. Beautifully constructed raised beds, a solid greenhouse, and clean paved paths connecting everything together. The homeowner finally had the growing space they’d always wanted, set up properly and built to last. It was one of those jobs where you could see the excitement on the client’s face as it all came together.
