Omeath Tidy Towns Scrub Clearance — Opening Up Community Spaces
A scrub clearance project for the Omeath Tidy Towns committee. Seamus and Pete cleared dense scrub and overgrowth to reclaim public land for the community.
The Problem
The Omeath Tidy Towns committee identified an area of dense scrub and overgrowth that had taken over a public space in the village. The area had become impassable and was an eyesore, with thick brambles, self-seeded saplings, and tangled undergrowth blocking what could be a useful community amenity. They called in Gardening Services Dundalk to clear it back.

What We Did
Seamus and Pete brought in the heavy-duty gear for this one. The scrub was cut, cleared, and chipped on site. Root systems were grubbed out where needed to prevent regrowth, and the entire area was raked clean. All waste material was processed and removed, leaving the land clear and open.
The Result
The cleared area was unrecognisable — open, accessible, and ready for the community to make use of. The Tidy Towns committee were thrilled with the work, and it opened up possibilities for the space that simply weren’t there before. Community projects like this are close to Seamus and Pete’s hearts, and they’re always happy to lend their expertise to keep Omeath and the surrounding area looking well.
